LAVK IS ADOPTED!
Our beautiful, sweet Lavk has been adopted by Najeedah who has spent countless hours rehabbing her to make her the wonderful horse she is today. We are so happy that Lavk has found her person and Najeedah is so happy to have the opportunity to adopt her!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
We would like to thank everyone who donated to help us provide Banner with the surgery he required to remove a tumor. The doctors were able to get all of the tumor and he is healed and feeling much better! Banner just joined our rescue a few months ago and has been excelling in our program. He is a sweet, smart five-year-old thoroughbred off the track.

CONGRATULATIONS SHARON!
Royce’s Rescue is so proud to have sponsored humane police officer Sharon Dillon who was sworn into Bucks County by the judge in Doylestown on February 19, 2019. Her future is bright in law-enforcement for animals in Pennsylvania. She has now earned her badge. Congratulations! We are so glad we could support you. Together we will make a better future for animals in Pennsylvania.
THANK YOU!
Thank you to Alicia T. and her 3 daughters Emma, Ashley and Charlotte for donating all this cat food and catnip toys that Precious and Kelsey are really enjoying! We appreciate your thoughtfulness and thank you for volunteering!
Thanks for participating and attending the 2019 Royce's Rescue Benefit Horse Show at Sommerfield Stables!!
We all had lots of fun, won some wonderful prizes and ribbons, and ate delicious food all day! We were so glad to see everyone there!
THANKS FOR A GREAT YEAR!
2018 proved to be a fabulous year for Royce's Rescue. We rescued and found loving homes for several dogs and horses that needed our help and were able to find wonderful homes for 215 cats and kittens, including 16 we brought up from Hurricane Florence to help other rescues in a time of need. The tireless efforts of all our volunteers were what made this possible. They never complain or give up when it comes to the animals. The food drives and donations from our community have been remarkable from Girl Scouts, Bar Mitzvah projects, senior citizens, high school students completing their LINCS hours for community service and even a day care with small children learning the importance of helping animals. It is our goal this year to get more of the community involved to gain constant awareness to the plight of these animals.
FUNDRAISER
Watch for news about our biggest fundraiser, the Royce's Rescue Benefit Horse Show on May 5th here at Sommerfield Stables. We have a huge raffle table with used tack, raffle baskets, pretzels, candy, etc. Please think of us close to this time for your donations. If you can make blankets, pillows, anything you like, we will raffle it to raise money to care for the rescue animals. If you are a business or know someone who owns a business, please let them know that we are looking for sponsors for this important event.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We are looking for people who would be willing to foster dogs until we are able to find them that special home. Let us know if you would be interested. In addition, we are always looking for foster homes for our cats and kittens to get them ready for adoption.
Thank you all for everything you do all year to help the rescue, and for everything you've done in 2018. With your help, we are looking forward to an even better 2019!
A REAL FEEL GOOD STORY
Every once in a while we are reminded why we work so hard to help animals, and ultimately, people.
Tim Reeves wasn't looking for a new dog, but when Oliver came along and needed a new home desperately, he gave it another try. Here is his story...
December 26, 1969, I walked into the local firehouse and started my firefighting career. Through the next 4-plus decades, I served my community as volunteer and paid firefighter and as a paramedic in Bucks County.
In 1997, my wife, Kathy, and I brought the first of five Golden Retrievers into our home. We named our new puppy, Douglas of Mount Laurel, aka – Doug, in honor of a drug and alcohol counselor who walked me through steps of sobriety. Then, in 2008, we adopted our first rescue, a Golden Retriever. For the next eight years, we adopted or fostered Golden Retrievers, all senior dogs.
After Molly crossed the rainbow bridge in 2016, we decided not to adopt again. That is until this spring, a friend messaged me about a posting on the Royce’ Rescue Facebook page. The rescue had a Golden Retriever puppy, Oliver. I connected with Royce’s director, Linda. She talked about a beautiful two-year-old boy puppy who was well trained and loving.
We brought him home ten days later for a trial period and never looked back. My wife calls Oliver, the dog “that we were never going to get” dog. At the same time, I had decided that I would turn in my driver’s license due to health reasons.
Oliver has become my close companion. He stays with me night and day…like Velcro. I have a history of panic/anxiety attacks, which are common with a diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Having Oliver with me, I am having fewer panic and anxiety attacks. He knows when I am going to have them well before I do and stays closer to me at those times.
Oliver not only helps me through the tougher days, he is a de-stressor for my wife after her long days at work. At 85 pounds, he thinks he is a lap dog and curls up on her lap almost every night.
Oliver has become a very large part of the family. He loves my grandchildren and they absolutely adore him. Oliver brings laughter and joy into our house. He is just so goofy!
My heart is full of gratitude for Linda at Royce’s Rescue for her assistance in adopting Oliver as well as his former owners who trained Oliver so perfectly.
Just when I thought all doors were closing, God provided another door, which contained a gift of life, named Oliver.
HURRICANE FLORENCE KITTENS HAVE ARRIVED!
We received a delivery from Keith at Packman K-9 Concierge Transport Services of 1 mother cat, her 6 kittens and 10 additional kittens for a total of 17 cats from a storm ravaged rescue in North Carolina.
We are happy to help the shelters in need!
Donations are desperately needed for the cost of transport, medical care, food and other costs as we work quickly to get these kittens up to date on shots and medicine to get them ready for adoption. To donate, please go to the Donations page on this website.
Thank you for any help you can offer!
